Frequently asked questions
How long is this event?
We will go through a lecture in about 30 minutes of time, and the rest of the time will be spent in small groups working through simulations and skills stations.
What should I bring with me and what should I wear?
An open mind and an eagerness to learn! Please wear scrubs. The simulation is NOT a wet simulation, but we still want you to feel that you are in a clinical environment.
Will there be food?
Yes! We will have lots of snacks for you to enjoy so you will not go hungry.
Can I come and go?
We ask that you stay for the full time of the event. If you have to leave early, please let us know ahead of time.
How should I prepare for this event?
We are embracing the inverted classroom style of simulation. Pre-read materials will be sent ahead of time!
Who is this event for?
Any health care professional who is interested in learning more about simulation and/or the JADA System. This includes physicians, midwives, nurses, scrub techs, and anesthesia, just to name a few!
What medical devices will be incorporated into the simulation?
We will be focusing the simulations on postpartum hemorrhage scenarios. Laborie's Medical Device, the JADA System, will be utilized during these simulations. Other devices within the Maternal and Child Health portfolio of products from Laborie may be featured as well.
